The microform collection encompasses over 186,000 pieces of microfiche and reels of microfilm. The library catalog will list these resources under the location.
Most of the collection consists of back issues of periodicals, but the library does have special historical collections on microfilm, including the following:

- American Women鈥檚 Diaries
- Annals of Congress 1789-1824
- Congressional Globe 1833-1873
- Congressional Record 1873-1980
- Journal of the American Temperance Union and the New-York Prohibitionist
- Mechanics' Free Press
- Pennsylvania Gazette 1728-1815
- Records of Ante-Bellum Southern Plantations
- Records of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedman, & Abandoned Lands
- Register of Debates in Congress 1825-1938
All microforms are located on the first floor of the library. The library has two machines that patrons can use to view and make free copies of materials.听 One machine is digital. Please see a librarian if you need assistance using the microform collections.
