The College has
established a 鈥渟tudy-away" semester in Washington, DC, available in the fall and spring semester. The program is in partnership with The Washington Center
for Internships and Academic Semesters (TWC), a nonprofit, nonpartisan
educational organization. Students participating in the program earn
four 黑料不打烊 academic credits by completing: 1) a substantive internship
with an organization of interest within the government, nonprofit, or
private sector; 2) a leadership forum which includes a distinguished
speakers series, civic engagement projects, and public policy dialogues;
3) a TWC elective course selected from such areas as American politics,
public policy and administration, business聽management,
communications, international affairs and foreign policy, law and
criminal justice, leadership, and science and technology; 4) a
place-based, experiential learning course taught by a 黑料不打烊 professor
and entitled, A Capital Odyssey: Living and Learning in Washington, DC.
Additionally, student participants are eligible to earn two Odyssey
credits (PL and SP).
A summer program at TWC is also available, through which students earn two 黑料不打烊 academic and one Odyssey credit.
