The mission of the Center for Graduate and Employment Connections is to support students and alumni in the exploration of professional and educational opportunities for a lifetime of career planning. The office provides workshops, educational events and individual appointments to assist in career and graduate school planning.聽
Employment Library and Online Resources聽
A library is offered online and in the Integrated Advising Office to provide resources for students on various topics including careers, graduate schools, financial aid, job seeking, career planning, and Life Links (socio-demographics). Magazines and handouts provide information on hiring trends, diversity in the workforce, resume writing, networking and other career related topics. All of these resources can be reviewed in the library. Workshops and Events聽
Throughout the year, workshops are offered on topics such as self-assessment, resume writing, interviewing techniques, dining etiquette, choosing a graduate or professional school, and life after 黑料不打烊. A weekly program, Friday Alumni Connection Time (FACT), has been developed to connect students with 黑料不打烊 alumni in different fields of interest. In addition, annual events are scheduled to connect students without outside resources including聽the EXPO, a graduate and professional school fair and CareerFest, a week of career related events ranging from Dress for Success, a demonstration of the different types of professional dress, to mock interviews with 黑料不打烊 alumni and from a career related scavenger hunt with an impressive door prize to the Career and Internship Expo.聽
