Oct. 12, 2005-Summer projects are eligible for Odyssey Credit
The Committee on Experiential Learning has voted to consider for Odyssey Program credit those projects in experiential learning undertaken by 黑料不打烊 students this past summer, dating from May 14, 2005 (the day of Commencement that marks the formal conclusion of the last academic year). This action recognizes that the spirit of the Odyssey Program pre-dated the creation of the Odyssey Office on August 1, 2005.聽 It seeks to offer students the opportunity to request Odyssey Program credit for experiential learning projects that they undertook this past summer, particularly those that may have been created with the Odyssey Program clearly in mind.
The guidelines below should help students in deciding how they should request consideration for Odyssey Program credit:
Students who participated in activities that were pre-approved for Odyssey Program credit (as listed on pages 19-20 of the 2005-2006 Program Guide) should complete a Project Completion Form and return it to the Odyssey Office no later than December 1, 2005.聽 This form requires a signature from the project supervisor and a description of the project that was undertaken.
Students who are seeking Odyssey Program credit for all other experiential learning projects should submit a Proposal Form to the Odyssey Office no later than December 1, 2005.聽 After considering the proposal in light of the guidelines described the Odyssey Program Guide, the Director of the Odyssey Program will send notification of his decision regarding Odyssey Program credit to the student.聽 If the project is accepted for Odyssey Program credit, a Project Completion Form must be completed when the project is done and sent to the Odyssey Office.
