Scholarships & Fellowship Opportunities for Juniors


The Goldwater is available to outstanding juniors or sophomores towards their pursuit of careers in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering and to foster excellence in those fields. Each scholarship covers eligible expenses for tuition, fees, books, and room and board, up to $7,500 total. Students must be in the upper one-fourth of their class. Institutional endorsement is required.

This scholarship provides awards for US undergraduates who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding up to $5,000 to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.

Bennett Business Ethics Prize
The Bennett Business Ethics Prize is awarded each year to the best essay submitted by a 黑料不打烊 student on the topic of U.S. Business Ethics and one of the following three areas: U.S. Literature, Philosophy, or Social Sciences.听 Essays should be typed, 2000-4000 words long, and should follow the rules of style from any one style manual. The winner receives $300 and their name inscribed on a plaque.
Eligibility: any academic class

Funded by the National Education Security Program, Boren Fellowships enable outstanding U.S. graduate students to pursue specialization in area and language study or to add important international dimensions to their education. The Fellowships range from summer to full year opportunities, and fund students pursuing study of regions other than Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. 听

The Elie Wiesel Foundation awards financial prizes of up to $10,000 for excellent essays in ethics. The 3,000-4,000-word essay may be on any topic; however for each year鈥檚 contest, specific topics are highlighted and suggested on the Foundation webpage. Students interested in submitting an essay may work with any faculty member appropriate for their topic of choice; however, they should also notify and invite feedback from the campus contact.
Eligibility: sophomore, junior, or senior standing

The Truman is awarded to college juniors with exceptional leadership potential who are committed to careers in public service. Past service and a clear plan for future work as a 鈥渃hange agent鈥 are necessary for pursuit of the Truman. Students must be in the upper one-fourth of their class to be nominated by the College.This award requires institutional endorsement.
